Baby Fouch is..........

Robert Finnley Fouch (Finn) will be here July 8th, if not earlier. We look forward to meeting him. I hope he has his seatbelt on because he's going to join our adventure.

More exciting news.

We've started a business along side my parents. It's called Dittamore Girls.
It's everything fabulous from vintage to refurbished furniture. We have a brick and mortar location in Tulsa inside Windsor Market.
And our fabulous website will be launched this week. You'll must stop by if you're in the neighborhood. Or click on over to dittamoregirls.com.
You won't be disappointed.

Announcing...

Rob and I are proud to announce... we are going to be a mummy and daddy.

We are soooo very excited... and can't wait to share our exciting adventure.

We are due July 8th. Rob's hoping for July 4th though so the baby always thinks fireworks are for his/her birthday.

food and books.

We are getting ready to build a floor to ceiling bookcase in our dining room. I can't wait... I literally dream about it day and night. Stay tuned... all fingers crossed it should be done by next week! One more thing checked off my list... now the only things left on my list rustic dining room chairs, new floor rug, and bamboo blinds.

It's amazing... right when you think you've finished with your house... you want to chance it again. Oh well... I'm a Dittamore Girl at heart. I learned from the best. Thanks mom.

Pumpkins, Skulls and Roots.

We recently had an eventful night with friend... warm tortilla soup, wassail, pumpkins and a fake bloody candy hand. We competed for the best carved pumpkin. I personally think I won with the skull, but in the end our friend walked away with the prize... a lovely fake bloody candy hand. All in all it was a great night... minus my hideous roots above. Thank the lord it's fixed for the next 6 weeks.

Junk in the trunk.

If you have the pleasure of living in Tulsa... then you are required by ME to stop by Dixie Cream donuts. Saturday morning my Nonnie and Pawps called us to meet them at this little slice of heaven. Oh my word, it's a bad thing it's so close to my house. But I had a blast with my family, who just returned from St. Louis. My Nonnie was in a slightly frisky mood and decided that I shouldn't be the only one wearing a barrette and sunglasses for pics. Rob and Pawps had plenty of fun on the computer while us girls chatted.

P.S. the retro man on the coffee sleeve made my day. I will only get my coffee from there now solely because of him. Thanks Dixie Cream for adding more junk to my trunk!

Sisters and Scooters.

Back to a busy week... we stopped by my parents house to pick up our scooter, he's been spending the night over there lately!
Francie, my seven month old sister above was being a hoot. She acts like she can already understand our conversations.... CRAZY. But my favorite part of the night was my seven year old sister wearing my mom's gold high heels everywhere!

Animal finds

More finds I forgot to post about.
I was just telling Rob... we need a ladle for our spoons when we are cooking .... and look what I found, a nifty little owl.
And last but not least a cutie little soup terrain with a fabulous chicken head. It's a beautiful color I might add.

Tootles.

Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

I am adding to my list at rapid speed I know. But I need these two things desperately.
For where.... I don't know exactly but it will come to me I promise.

P.S. I want the wardrobe sans the stuffed animals please.

Thank you.

Happy find.

Look... one of my new finds from another successful day of treasure hunting. The fabulous thing about this holder is that it has a tag hanging from it with the engraving "Las Vegas Hilton 1974 24K Gold"

It's it to DIE for. It's an especially happy find for me because 3 of my BFFs live in LV. LOVE IT.

October

So my days have been full to the brim with house cleaning, fabulous bridal showers, winery festivals for work and many many more things. But in all the madness, I found time to sift through my favorite websites and stumbled upon this farm house in the NY times.
How can you deny that charm.

This is #1 on my Christmas list....
Dear Santa...

I need this.

Best investment.

This was the best investment of all time hands down. We go grocery shopping with it, the farmers market with it, our friends houses with it... but best of all we always go on Adventures with it.

Two things every person should have in their life... a husband and a scooter.

Fabulous parties

We just hosted a fabulous 1920 themed lawn party for our good friends Cait and Harry which are getting married Nov. 6th. It was the best shower I have ever been too, if I do say so myself.

My sister-in-law recently got engaged, and our duty was to help set up the venue with flowers. Well, I just love when there is an event and you get to keep the flowers afterwards.

Whoopie is the new cupcake

I recently made these for the first time when Rob was having a poker night and let me tell you. They didn't last long at all.

They are the new cupcake. Check out the article in the NY Times.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/18/dining/18whoop.html

Below is the recipe I used.

Ingredients for Cakes:
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
5 tablespoons of cocoa (rita uses 4)
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon each: baking powder, baking soda, salt
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

The sugar and shortening are creamed together, the beaten egg yolks added. The dry ingredients are sifted together, and added alternatively with the milk and vanilla. Drop the batter in equal spoonfulls onto a greased cookie sheet, leaving room for them to spread. Bake in a pre-heated 375 degrees oven for 7-10 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool. When completly cool, mix filling (recipe below), spreading half the cakes with this mixture. Put them together like a sandwich.

Filling: With an electric mixer, combine 1/2 cups shortening, 2 cups confectioners sugar, 2 egg whites, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons fluff.

Strictly Gangsta

Lately the Fouch clan has found themselves suppa suppa tired... and have resorted to riding our scooter to Reasors(our local grocer)down the street and picking up food at the deli, driving home, jumping in bed and eating. Lazy... we know! But who really gives a WHOOP. Do you want to know the funniest thing about lying in bed all night?

Watching hundreds and hundreds trailers on our Apple TV.

And if you don't own one... I HIGHLY suggest you buy one. We were sorta in a gangsta mood last night so we rekindled our love for Martin Scorsese and Johnny Depp.

Daydreaming Essentials

Although toilet paper is also important to me, these three things ensure my continual happiness.

1. Coffee
2. Magazines
3. Macaroons.

Disclaimer// This may take you into a deep state of daydreaming. A state that lasts so long you may never return.

I know the economy is bad, BUT......

Here are some things you can never skimp on....

1. Toliet Paper// Just buy the best. Trust me being cheap AND having a BUTT rash SUX.

2. XBOX// Hours of fun at the push of a button.

***Disclaimer// could effect relationship with spouse****

***Disclaimer// BUT if you're a chick, I can personally guarantee a stronger relationship with your man****

Trips with friends

I can honestly say there is nothing like embarking on an adventure with friends. There was really little to NO planning that took place. But that is when memories are made and dollars are spent. This Pic was taken on the mean streets of Kansas City, MO.

Her morning elegence

The best video of all time. We can't stop watching it. Rob and I always try to reenact it.
